TASKS:
  • rehabilitation treatment of cancer patients using physical therapy methods and techniques applicable to the oncological rehabilitation

 

  • Rehabilitation treatment planning and selecting methods and procedures for patients of each DCO department, in accordance with general recommendations and indications of the oncology department physicians, taking into account the condition of the patient.

 

  • performing physiotherapeutic assessment related to the condition of the patient who undergoes rehabilitation procedures and conducting functional tests required for rehabilitation planning and monitoring the results of the patients tread in the DCO oncologic departments.

 

  • monitoring the effectiveness of the rehabilitation procedures and maintaining the appropriate records

 

  • issuing opinions concerning the rehabilitation course and functional patient status of  patients who undergo rehabilitation

 

  • Informing the patient and his/her family (or other person specified by him/her) of the functional state (from the physical therapist’s point of view).

 

  • Cooperation with nursing personnel on the activities related to nursing and rehabilitation

 

  • providing pre- and postgraduate oncologic rehabilitation training courses for medical personnel

 

  • Conducting rehabilitation internships, training courses and apprenticeships for students and trainees who want to improve their practical and theoretical knowledge of rehabilitation.
