TASKS

Our inpatient department has 44 beds. The outpatient department and the clinical oncology/chemotherapy unit consists of 3 consultation rooms, 2 intravenous rooms and an intravenous hall (with 10 beds).

  • The department performs systemic cancer treatment using cytotoxics, targeted treatment (antibodies, enzyme inhibitors, hormone therapy).
  • Biologic treatment (somatostatin analogs), immunotherapy: combined with radiation therapy and surgery (neoadjuvant treatment, complementary treatment, radiochemotherapy, palliative treatment).
  • Chemotherapy is used to treat various types of cancer, e.g. breast cancer, colorectal cancer, stomach cancer, reproductive organ cancer, testicular cancer, cancers of the head and neck, lymphoma, sarcoma, neuroendocrine tumours.
